I was inspired by Winnie the Pooh. Always walking in circles and wondering whose footprints he's seeing. =)x

My name is lisa. I am going to be a children’s book illustrator. I would say wish me luck, but hard work and perseverance are my teammates on this one. Luck can sit in the corner and watch.

RE: JULY CONTEST: WHEN SUMMER VACATION GOES WRONG.
I've been wanting to do something with a vintage postcard for a while and this seemed like a good fit. The family goes to the Oasis expecting an OASIS. -
RE: JULY SVS ILLUSTRATION CONTEST TOPIC: HIDDEN
Thomas is too excited to be chasing a squirrel that he does not realize that it is literally right under his nose. =)x

Here’s where I’m at so far

RE: AUGUST COMPETION TOPIC: MUSIC
Little did the children know as they walked home from the park that they would be enveloped by a spontaneous animal music parade and invited to join in. =)x
Thank you to all of my SVS friends that helped me with the important decisions.

RE: Our SVS Virtual Studio February❤️2020
Here’s a WIP of my bear. It’s finished and currently being placed in a postcard layout in Illustrator. I photoshopped the shadows across the whole postcard. I’ll share how I did that in another post because it was pretty sketchy but turned out just fine.

Our SVS virtual studio
What's everyone working on right now? I'm pretending I am walking through a studio that we all share and looking over your shoulders at what you are working on. Post it! As in Grade school Show And Tell, NO CRITIQUES ARE ALLOWED HERE. Just walking through the studio keeping our mouths shut. We will allow a, that's cool or wow comment. Lol! You know, positive appreciation.
Personally I am all over the place. Summer is more difficult for me, because school is out. My solid schedule gets thrown in the wash with all of the swim towels.
I have been drawing/sketching in my new Procreate app and I did start a small watercolor sketchbook while hiking.

RE: Our SVS Virtual Studio FEBRUARY 🙃2021
January was a little topsy turvy for me, so I am treating February like my New Year. January 2021 did not happen. LOL. My goals for this year are small compared to last year. I resolve to fill my new sketchbook by Dec. 31st. If anything else gets done, bonus. My goal for February is to draw anything every day and post on social media at least 5 times per week. The rest of the time, I'm going to putting my head back on straight and creating to do lists.
Happy Friday!

Our SVS Virtual Studio FEBRUARY 🙃2021
OMG! It's February and here I am dozing right on through it.
What’s everyone working on right now?
Imagine you are walking through a studio silently looking over people’s shoulders at their work. This is NOT a place for critiques. You may applaud, encourage, ooh and ah only.

RE: WARNING! Artist Job Scam! Too good to be true? Yes.
Well, they got me. I've been spending the last 4 days erasing, updating, confirming and panicking. They got my phone number & contacts for sure. So if any of my art friends here have my burvantill email or phone number, delete or block it/them. I would hate if you got scammed because you thought it was me.

RE: WARNING! Artist Job Scam! Too good to be true? Yes.
@Pamela-Fraley When I figured it out that it was a scam I did tell them, “well I thought we would take care of all that after we fill out the employment documents.” Thats when they repeated, “please send your direct deposit information.” GRRR
