Had a lot of fun doing this one and it was great to get to work on some lettering. My image doesn't seem quite as crisp as in Procreate but I often have this issue if anyone has any tips on how to correct this it would be great?

Yay, I finished it!! I've really enjoyed this challenge and I never usually spend so long on any one piece but I learnt so much from this process. The preparation seemed very long (I often don't prepare at all) but then the actual painting part seemed to go so much quicker than usual, probably because I'd spend so much time planning. The painting was done with gouache and collage.

@Coley Ah I really love your cover - both work well for me. To be honest, I didn't really notice the hand thing - they both look fine to me, I think sometimes we can spend too long looking and it's hard to tell. The composition's lovely though. I suppose working on the lettering could be an option but this looks ok to me.
Sorry about your new situation. I know how you feel, I've had to to do this a few times over the past couple of years and it was difficult in lots of ways and although I couldn't do as much art, when I did have time I was probably much more productive. Don't give up, your work is really lovely and you're so far on the road! In view of your current situation this image seems even more poignant. Sending you lots of virtual hugs xxx

@Norman-Morana I love your work; you have a lovely painterly style. I like your reworks and I agree with the advice from Carlianne about the periscope, it makes for a nice circular movement, although Laura makes a good point about the drops. I also think it’s a good idea to shift the text. Really lovely colour palette by the way

@Kevin-Longueil Wow, pretty amazing thumbnails. I have to agree that the shiny red shoes is the one that reads the best for me too. I also love the bottom lefthand image, the characters behind Dorothy sort of mimic the Emerald CIty, I could really see this as a book cover or as a poster.
