Hello, my name is Richard and I am from New Zealand. I am a beginner learning how to get better at drawing with a goal of learning how to do illustration for fun and personal projects. Drawing is something I have always been interested in but I have gotten more serious about it this year as a great creative thing to do outside of work. I am currently working my way through the curriculum on SVS Learn and listening to the 3 point perspective podcasts. I am really enjoying it and looking forward to seeing all the awesome work on this forum! Here is a tree that I did as part of the how to draw everything course :D.

Skullchaser - How to Draw Everything Upside Down Exercise
Hey! Here is Skullchaser that I have drawn by doing the upside down drawing exercise that is early on in the how to draw everything course. I had a lot of fun doing this and toned it following the light and shadow for illustrators course. Any and all feedback is welcome :). Also what image dimensions are good for uploading onto the forum?

RE: Feedback for updated Portfolio?
@Nathalie-Kranich great portfolio! I like how clean your artwork is. With your website I would make your call to action buttons a bit more prominent in terms of colour, like 'Get in Touch' etc, and also put a button at the bottom of each section so I can scroll down and click tell me about your project once I have seen all your work. Hope that helps!

RE: February Yeti cooking - Update - with Color
Wow! This looks awesome! Just an idea but I think going with a real minimal blue toned colour palate could be something to play around with. Like an icey blue tone getting less blue/cold looking around the warm from the cooking. Hope that makes sense.

RE: Feedback on wip western magic
@HeatherBouteneff this looks great! It's awesome to see the changes and the progress as well. One thing I have noticed is that the lines in the foreground and the background look very similar, I think if you made the foreground lines just a bit sharper it would add to the depth of the image. Great work!

Hey @Kevin-Longueil, great work on the colouring it's really coming to life! I think it would work for a childrens book. It reminds me a bit of peter rabbit

RE: Lines or no lines?
You don't have to change the words but I love making things rhyme so thought I would add "The Yeti cooked with flare and secret spices. With aroma in the air to keep it nice". No pressure at all :). I still prefer the no lines, great work!

@Kevin-Longueil looking good! I'm liking that wooden beam. I think the bunny is working, what would happen if it was on the Yetis near shoulder and facing towards the fire? Not sure how the basket would work but it could be fun haha.

RE: Lines or no lines?
@hayleyannececil when I first saw the lines I was like "oh definitely lines" but I prefer the no lines! haha. Great work! It looks so soft without the lines.
