Who is doing INKTOBER this year?
-
Yes! This will be my first time and I want to do it to learn how to draw. I need to get the bad drawings out of me to get to the good ones, like they say on 3PP, lol. I don't even care if they are awesome or awful, I just want to skill up. And it sounds fun!

@Braden-Hallett please do! I bet it would be hilarious. I want a cut of all your kudos though. like 30%.

Thirty-one kiddos in costume is a really cute idea! I love it!
My inktober is going to be 31 character designs from a setting that I've had floating vaguely around my head for a while. It's about a tiny village surrounded by wilderness with some very peculiar inhabitants in it.
I'm trying to focus on pushing my character designs as well as becoming more comfortable with traditional mediums. (Going to the art store this weekend!)

@chrisaakins such a good idea!! Can’t wait to see it.

The CBP course was a grind and I needed a long break after that lol. I'm finally getting my head above water with all the projects we've been doing and I was planning on breaking back into it for Inktober so I'll definitely be participating.
I'm still not sure if I'm going to go traditional or digital this year. Last year I had a bunch of 4x6 cardstock sheets lying around that I used until I was out and I really liked that, so I might do the same thing this year and buy a stack of those and get enough for the whole month this time.

@chrisaakins I AM!!!! I’m doing it the conventional way this year. I need black and white pieces for my Middle Grade portfolio. I’m only aiming for 1 piece per week.

Yes! I am joining in with 4 illustrations and will colour each one for Slowvember. Last year my theme was 'little witches'. This year I am illustrating some whimsical scenes inside woodland homes thinking about creating the art for a board book. Looking forward to see your alphabet @chrisaakins !!!

I will participate this year. I do every year. The key is that I finish. I still haven’t finished last year’s project/comic. Now I’m really trying to prep this month to make October easier.
As for a theme: before the SVS contest theme came out, I considered doing a month of Imaginary Friends. I have a story bouncing around in my head where it’s this agency of imaginary friends who interact with children around the world. They can be as wacky as can be and not relate to the prompt at all, or be a direct derivation of the prompt. Either way they’d be through a child’s perspective.
After the September contest announcement, I started thinking that i needed to just stick with one character design and follow them through a loose story throughout the month. It’d be like the Little Bot drawings Jake did a few years back.

I love this idea. It’d be an amazing single sheet fold out. You could show the homeowners at the beginning or the end too.

I'm going to give it go! It was my first year last year and I didn't quite get to the end, so this year I'm going to try to be a bit more prepared
I like the idea of taking the character we're doing for this month's prompt and creating a story for them using the Inktober prompts.
Loving your idea of the alphabet poster @chrisaakins!
