Sketching Fun

OMG, Love Button. They are so gorgeous, your gesture/figure work is amazing too.
-
wow these are impressive! Your gesture figures are beautiful! As someone who never had the speed or looseness to do gesture drawing well, I'm a little jealous! And your watercolor paintings also have this great in the moment feel to them. Very well captured and very expressive.

These are great. Makes me want to learn water color. If only I could do everything.
-
@Lee-White please do watercolor course please please please please please
-
@Lee-White Daniel smith rewet beautifully. I have some that may be 8-10 yrs old and work perfectly.
-
really good work!
-
@margaretintexas there's a watercolour sketchbook class coming early November and I'm assuming it's Lee-white teaching it as he seems to be the prolific watercolour guy.

These are fantastic! Very inspiring, thanks for sharing!

@Ace Connell, nope it's not me for the watercolor sketchbook class. That is going to be part of a bigger digital class taught by another illustrator (who is awesome BTW).
I'm going to be doing a more comprehensive watercolor class that is more of an exercise based class and will go over everything in an in depth way. That one should release in the spring. I have a business class releasing in December.
-
@Lee-White Every time you post about your upcoming classes you make me wish away a bit of my life to get to it haha.

I always sketch in pencil in my sketch book. Perhaps I'll venture into a small water color sketch book. (Not that I need ANOTHER sketch book to add to my pile talking over my shelves! LOL) Love the Salt & Straw! Now if only they'd open one up in Beaverton I'd be a happy camper! Thanks Lee you are inspirational!

These are beautiful!

I am so amazed! My sketchbooks just seem to be a plethora of randomness. I do have a watercolor sketchbook still in the wrapper....
-
I was drawn in by your figure studies and blown away when I came to those boats! I love sketch book sneak peeks.
-
@Lee-White Love the watercolor washes man, excellent stuff. Always inspires me to see others work. Figure drawing from models or just out of your head Lee?
-
@johntatulliart Looking at the weight/centre of gravity of the models and the gesture, I'd almost guarantee they're from real life models.
In fact, @lee-white, do you know if there are any gesture/life drawing classes planned to be coming to SVS in the future? I go to life drawing every week and I always love to hear other people's approaches to figure drawing and anatomy.
Cheers,

AceI would welcome a gesture/life class too @lee-white. Added to my svs wish list!

@Ace-Connell I would agree Ace and yes a figure drawing class would be a welcomed foundational class.

It will be fantastic to have an in-depth watercolour course, can't wait. I love the look but so difficult to get it right. It's like I think in oil painting style but I hanker after the watercolour feel. They are just so capricious..I feel like if I just take a few more classes something will click and I'll get it...so yes sounds great to me.

I love these!
