I love this update and like everyone else particularly appreciate the crop and resize. I also finally figured out how to use the clipping masks (more or less) which is new to me never having used Photoshop.

I am wondering how people actually use the liquify feature. It’s super fun to play with but other than doing an occasional abstract background, when would you use it? Just curious.

@demotlj one example of many: to map a pattern on a garment, following the folds etc...

@demotlj I still haven’t figured out the clipping masks even after playing with them for a bit. Did you find any resources that explained it?
The update is really great especially the quick shapes function

@demotlj You can use the liquefy tool to nudge lines in your sketches and fix little errors to avoid redrawing

I couldn't get into Procreate (I since learned Clip Studio Paint), but so many people love it and produce gorgeous work. Do you need the special Apple pen to make it worthwhile?

I've owned Procreate since it was released, and it certainly streamlines work by streamlining the UI. The new features are really nice and I'm glad to see them.

I recently started to learn Clip Studio Paint, and I love it. It "feels" really good to use, and it's got so many powerful features — and I can do all of that on the iPad! It took some time to figure out how much of it works, and it's got so much power under the hood. Just wanted to shout out to a fellow user. 🙂

@riftweaver I probably just needed to give ProCreate more practice to figure out how to use it best.

Clip Studio Paint is a hidden gem! I want to learn to make graphic novels eventually and saw it has tools just to streamline that process (easy masking for panels, speech bubble tools, etc). And a lot of other useful features! (that "auto fill lasso" and one-click extract lineart saves so much time) It's has some animation capabilities too. A great value, and my go-to program for digital art.

Q: in the resizing canvas section, there is a slider called ‘resample’ Have no clue what this does - should it be on or off? 😳

@carriecopa @riftweaver I love Clip Studio Paint! I've been using it for my drawing-a-day challenge this month, and I love how the pencil tool feels and looks like actual pencils. It's my new favorite art app.

I've tried Procreate on my little iPad mini. Maybe one day I'll be a big kid and I can have an iPad Pro. 🙂
