#fauxInktober - Who’s with me?
-
@TessaW I’m really happy you like #fauxInktober. I really hope you could join. It’d be nice to have a small group going here in the forums.

@Natalie-Lundeen-0 hi! #gouachetober sounds great too!
-
I wouldn't really call what I do inking but it does involve ink. Mainly I'm outlining things in ink but nothing special about it. And, I never follow the prompts at all
I do monsters usually with ink and watercolor. This year I will make monster coloring pages from kids descriptions. So far I just have 4 so, I may just work on inking for my other book project so I can get that started. I look forward to seeing the fauxinktober creations!

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen thanks! I’ll look forward to see your work too.

Hi guys! What are your thoughts in making sketches ahead of time for Inktober (#fauxInktober)? Your comments are highly appreciated.
-
I see the benefit, I just don’t have the time. I want to make it simple and fun and I think I’d over do it with prep sketches. I will also want to do the svs contest for October so yeah.
-
@Heather-Boyd Lol! I definitely see your point tho. Thanks for the input.

@Nyrryl-Cadiz sort of

@Nyrryl-Cadiz I think it is super smart to do that, especially if you are planning to do one finished piece each day. I am not thinking a very finished sketches, but maybe just write down ideas in thumbnail format, so you do not have to start from scratch everyday.

@Nyrryl-Cadiz! If I join, I'm thinking of using the prompts and pairing them with my collection of personal reference photos. I'd take the prompt + one reference photo and paint something based on the two. I take reference photos from time to time while on outings, but I never use them- so I thought this would be a good opportunity to finally put them to use. It would also save some time, because I wouldn't have to sketch out ideas as much.

@TessaW that’s a smart idea

@nasvikdraws hello! I also want to know if Dad Dad returns!
