I love this! It's getting me excited for Inktober, and excited for introducing it to my students.

This was a great episode, I assumed it would be a lot of the same stuff talked about in Jakes previous videos but there was a lot of great ideas and I loved hearing more about Jakes inktober journey and more about how it evolved over those first few years. Lot's of great ideas for people apprehensive about doing the challenge!

              Inktober and Chill 😆

Can someone tell Jake Netflix and Chill doesn't mean what he thinks it means.

                      @Jake-Parker

Netflix and chill is an Internet slang term used as a euphemism for sexual activity, either as part of a romantic partnership or as casual sex or as a groupie invitation. Wikipedia.

With this and Will describing the inktober slippery prompt we might need a X rated warning 😄

So I’m going to do a short story during Inktober and I’m trying to figure out the best paper size. I got the Inktober ArtSnacks box so was thinking I could use the sketchbook there but I’m questioning both the size and the scan quality of I use it. Also, as of right now, some days wouldn’t just be one panel, and I’m thinking the sketchbook would be better utilized for that format. Ugh, October is almost here!!

This was a great podcast. Lots of good ideas to chew on. I'm doing Inktober for the first time. I am wondering, for those of you who are experimenting with ink and getting used to the tools, are you using one type of drawing tool on one paper for 30 days or playing around with different pens, inks, etc and different papers? I'm not sure which approach to use. I have different pens, brush pens and dip pens. I'd like to get good at all of them and see which I really gravitate to, but I'm thinking if I switch up too much, I won't get the benefit of improving my skill with one of them over time. Any thoughts?

I was just about to ask if I can sneak peek to the prompt list before it starts! and there you go...
i see he picked some tough subjects again for ink eheh...
he's good at picking them out. I salute him and alphonso, they are both great artist with fine business touch to their art.

@Jake-Parker Question here: If we don't have an Instagram or other social media account, does SVS Learn Forum have enough space for us to post our Inktober pieces to the Forum? Maybe keeping them to a certain size? Thanks, @Maureen

Thanks for the info about that.
Do you know if we can post small daily drawings for Inktober in the Forum if we do not have a social media presence?

@Maureen I just created a thread that you can post all of your drawings to for this week. I will be making a new one each week. Here is the link to this week's thread.

What I regret is, the people who don't follow inktober prompts but follow their own, still use the hashtag Inktober. I don't do Inktober but I like looking at all the variations and iterations around the same word. My fun is a bit spoilt 😕 fortunately the forum exists!

                                            Americans talking about "Coral":
                                            Is that Choral?
                                            No it's corral
Is it like Walking Dead, "caaarrrrrllll"?
No... it's the one in the ocean....
