Hey guys, wanted to let you know the new additions to my light and shadow class are uploaded and in the course. So you can check them out any time you like. I did one in pencil and the other is a marker demo.

@Lee-White I started watching the pencil one, and it's great! I got a lot out of the rest of the course even without using Photoshop, and it's really helpful to see the same principles applied to traditional media. Thank you very much!

@Lee-White Thank you so much! I did the course and I learned a lot even though I don't work digital. Still, I find that I've been struggling with the values during Inktober so I know I need way more practice. It's funny how I keep hearing this voice in my head saying over and over "local color"! 🙂

@Leah-Boulet Yes, the "local color" emphasis in the course was my big "Aha!" moment, too! I don't work digital either, so it's helpful to see how Lee applies that same concept to other media. It's been interesting to think through using that mindset in Inktober, with only black ink and white paper to work with, but I do notice an improvement in my understanding of value and form with just that mental shift!
