Effective Vehicle Design - Looking for fellow 'classmates'
-
I just started it this week as well and would definitely be down to go though the process with some others! Here is my first assignment!
-
I did the first assignment today!

Assignment I
(3/3) -
I have been spending a lot of time trying to figure some things out; which app (none feel 'right', I havent got enough practise with them yet), how to organise some sort of workflow within the app, and then I struggle with the drawing / inking (sketching feels okay for the stage I'm at).
Here's one example, as it's been a week. Not super happy with it, but I couldn't have done it a week ago, so at least there's progressIt's been cool (and a little intimidating) to see your results! I'll try to catch up a bit if I can.
-
Assignment 2: Here are some vehicle designs that I drew up for a desert bounty hunter character. I was kind of struggling with the whole form and function idea but I think I get it now. Please let me know if you have any pointers or comments.
-
@Lize Nice work! Some funky car you got there... :-]
-
@Stephen-Dueck These look great, Stephen. I'd say you understand the concept of form and function well! Love the idea of a desert bounty hunter riding over the dunes on her Schwinn. Ha ha
-
Hey, I will join you again in this class. Your last group on prop design helped me out immensely. So these are my designs.
-
@shanehunt Haha Thanks!
-
Here is my assignment 3. I’ve include both my inspiration pictures along with colored and toned pieces. Please let me know if you notice anything is off or if you have any other comments.
-
@robbery These are awesome – nice to have you on board again! :-]
-
@Stephen-Dueck Nice render! Love the colours too... If I had to pick one thing I'd say the bow of your boat is a bit sharp / pointy in comparison to the reference (but that might well be intentionally to match the shape of the 'sidecar').
-
@Bricz-Art Would you be interested in posting your assignment here too, and tag along with the rest of us? :-]
-
@Stephen-Dueck good work tho I don't think your boat needs that balancer at its side. small fishing boats have those things so that they won't get tipped over if there are huge waves beating their sides. since your speed boat is decently sized, it doesn't need a balancer.
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz Thanks! I did try to make the boat look smaller to imply that it needed the support. But I understand that it probably doesn't need it. I also just wanted to add it because it looked cool
