I'm struggling to find an ergonomic way to draw on my ipad. I was thinking some sort of stand that would allow me to rotate and tilt it would probably be best, like this on on amazon for example. Does anyone have experience with such a solution (I'm worried about the bits that stick out around the ipad, would they get in the way?)?

Any other solutions that work good for you? I can adjust the height of my desk, so that part isn't a problem.

I can't afford a dedicated display tablet at the moment, and have no luck with drawing on a non-display tablet (I love it for other things, but I can't get used to drawing with it somehow).

Hi @Lize, this might sound weird but I just use a 10” long 4x4 piece of treated pine as my stand. It was left over after I redid my fence. I can change the angle depending on how close or far I position the 4x4. Sometimes I just a thick book.

@Lize i've been using the ZUGU case for over two years now and am super happy with it - bought a second one recently for my new iPad (link below)- really nice to work on - Lee uses one too i think

@Lize Hi! I got a great little stand that I absolutely love - I use it along with this table so that I can place it and stand with it while I draw. Since you've already got the desk.

The stand you have posted looks great for tilting and rotating! though I'd be concerned about the stability of drawing on it... though maybe it would work ok - just looks like it's balancing which makes me nervous.
I like that I can lock the Ipad in place while I draw, and then physically rotate it to be horizontal or vertical when I need it.

@Lize when using my ipad, I draw while laying/sitting in my bed. I just place my ipad on my lap while a bunch of pillows are propping my back and i'm off. it does get too comfy sometimes tho and I fall asleep. hehe😅

@Jeremy-Ross Thanks! I'll try this before anything else so I don't spend money needlessly!

@Nyrryl-Cadiz that would have been the best solution if it wasn't for my back pain. I can't sit in bed a long time, unfortunately. Sounds wonderful though!

@Lize are you sure you’re using enough pillows?😅 i use 8 pieces. To be serious tho, what position do you prefer? Are you more comfortable standing or sitting?...

@Nyrryl-Cadiz I usually switch between standing and sitting. Luckily I got a desk that can adjust accordingly, makes a ton of difference for my back!
