Hi! New student -reclaiming artist self I abandoned 15 years ago.

Hello Everyone! I am excited to be here. Currently live in Las Vegas, NV; from Florida. I have seen so much of your great work already and am looking forward to sharing the journey with you.

I joined SVS in November to refresh my skills after abandoning my art 15 years ago. I started drawing again with Inktober2019 and loved every minute! I have a hodgepodge of art experiences in “fine art - drawing from life,” film/animation, video - none of it organized or focused. I came to SVS after listening to the 3 Point Perspective podcast and realized I am an illustrator and this where I belonged all those uncomfortable years I thought I was a fine artist and never fit in.

I knew had major review to do so I started with the foundations courses and have been blown away by the quality and level of information. I am already a better artist and attempting to draw things I make up instead of relying solely on real life objects or photos. Professional Illustrator, here I come!

I just turned 50 in August and if I put as much energy into my skills being an illustrator as I have been doing other things, I will be successful! Thanks! RioSim1
