I'd like to introduce everyone to Benny Blizzard. He's a sophomore at Yeti High. He's a pretty good student, and a member of the school hockey team. He's not the biggest or strongest yeti on the team, but his coach loves his scrappy can-do attitude. He also likes playing video games for some down time. I imagine him for an animated kids show or comic strip. Hope you enjoy!

I've really enjoyed seeing everyone's entries! So many great ideas and amazing art!

Every big Yeti begins as a baby. Baby Yeti likes outdoor adventures, taking Yeti Dog for a "drag" and picking flowers for Mama Yeti.

Super sweet and loving, cuddly to the core!!!!!Yeti SVS 2020-4.jpg

This one was hard for me. I struggled a lot with getting it the way I wanted. Had a story in my head but could not get it to come across clearly. After watching al the fantastic entries pore in I almost gave up, thinking what´s the point? But remembered that learning and growing is the point and I pushed through and here it is. I am mostly happy that I didn´t give up this time. Good work everyone you terrify 😉 and inspire me ❤

@DaveLeekArt Thanks so much! Yeah, my three daughters had nothing to do with the inspiration for this one. Love your Yeti design as well. Great work!

This is the first time I have done a character from so many angles. It was challenging, but a good experience. Mine is Grumpyeti. He is grumpy, but has a soft side hiding inside. I think there are so many clever takes on the Yeti for this contest. It is fun to see everyone's ideas.

@Sara-Nilsson good on you for just completing the challenge and submitting. It’s not about comparing to others in here, it’s about growing and improving as an artist. Simply entering and following through on these critique arenas does just that for you. Happy you made it and joined the club this month:)

I hope my entry is not too late. (I just finished this by the skin of my teeth!) My version of the fabled Yeti is part moose, bear, and deer. The design was inspired by varying accounts of Yeti sightings that are often dismissed as bear or moose sightings. As a creature that resides in the remote mountains of the Himalayas, I tried to add subtle facial features that were a cross between that of the Inuit and the Nepali. I added some accessories and apparel to help add flesh out his personality. In particular, the illustration that depicts him walking features the Yeti wearing a pair of Inuit sunglasses and distinctive fanny pack. yeti2Color_flat.png
