FEBRUARY CONTEST: YETI COOKING
-

 @Chip-Valecek Thanks for posting this!
 Hey, if we keep doing the Yeti themes, then I may actually have a whole book done by the end of the year!

 @Kim-Rosenlof 100%

 Is everyone using their original Yeti character design for all the follow-up designs or are some of you veering off?
-

 @Gabby-Correia unfortunately I didnโt make a yeti character yet so I guess you could say Iโm just winging it lol but I guess now Iโm gunna need to make one
-

 Here we go again LOL
-

 @Gabby-Correia I just joined a couple weeks ago and barely made it in time for the Yeti Home contest - so I hadn't made the December Yeti image. I'm planning to keep this drawing in the same format/style so they will work together ;).

 Just to clarify: don't worry if you haven't submitted in the previous Yeti contests, you can still do this prompt! Just treat it as if it's a stand alone prompt. So, if you don't already have a Yeti character, just create one. And by the same token, if you already created a Yeti character, but would like to change it, go right ahead! We thought it would be fun to give you the option to create all the makings of a children's book, but it's not a requirement

 @Gabby-Correia Prolly not since mine didn't even make it in the 16.

 OMG!! We totally forgot to mention that this is supposed to be a SPOT ILLUSTRATION Sorry we missed that bit! Sorry we missed that bit!Spot illustrations are small, simple illustrations that highlight a moment in a story, usually without a full background. They are meant to break up text and add visual interest to a page. We'll be getting to full page spreads later on!

 @LisaF well that makes a difference...hmm I'm not sure how I want to approach this prompt now lol.
-

 @LisaF if thatโs the case then @Chip-Valecek might want to edit the post to add that in so people donโt miss it
-

 I like that itโs a spot illustration!
-

 @LisaF Can we maybe have @Chip-Valecek edit the original post to reflect both your comments? That might keep some who might not read everything still have the prompt correct.
-

 @Griffin great minds. I just posted the same things only slower! Haha!
-

 @chrisaakins @Griffin @LisaF @Chip-Valecek - was thinking the same thing - i went ahead and edited the post (hope you don't mind Chip) feel free to change it
-

 @Kevin-Longueil Thank You!!!

 @LisaF I have been doing spot illustrations so I'll pass on this one. Is there a vignette in the works? Then I might start to plan a design for a yeti, since I haven't participated as of yet.
-

 @K-Flagg lols I have too many spot illustrations in my portfolio so I am passing but I am sure you could make something, just simplify and make sure all the important parts of your story is in it. I hope you change your mind.

 @Heather-Boyd lol I didn't realized I was missing a word in my post (which totally made the context seem negative ). I meant to say I'm not sure HOW I want to approach this now. lol sorry if I sounded like a jerk, I am working on my entry now. ). I meant to say I'm not sure HOW I want to approach this now. lol sorry if I sounded like a jerk, I am working on my entry now.

 @Heather-Boyd just curious what's the difference between a spot illustration and a vignette?
