Art Smackdown

Hi everyone, I don’t think there’s a general chat around here but I wanted to share a thing I’ve been doing for the past couple of months. It’s called Art Smackdown, it’s a Twitch.tv art game show that happens every Monday night at 10pm EST.
The premise is that you have 20 minutes to complete a “commission” by a guest judge every week. It’s silly and fun and skills range all over the place.
I have no affiliation with the show, it’s just something I’ve enjoyed doing and think other artists will too. It being only 20 minutes really puts you into the “finished not perfect” mindset. I’ve taken some of the skills of the 20-minute-make-or-break piece and brought it into my concepting. It’s really helped me stop second guessing myself and just keep designing. You’d be surprised what you can come up with when you get a silly prompt and just go for it!
There are no real prizes. Every week there is an audience champion who has the option of coming on screen as the next weeks challenger. I’d love to see some of you there. My username is: crowebot
