What's the biggest problem you face when it comes to launching your art career?
-
My biggest problem that I face right time efficiency. I have a full time job, wife, kids, and a home to take care of. I really have to stay on point to squeeze the leftover hours out of the day to work on my craft.

+1 for those @Jesse-Hintze ...I'm working on building habits to create time after the kids go to bed, or before they get up, even on my lunch break. The habit helps to overcome the tiredness from the day.
-
@Jesse-Hintze developing the necessary skills, building a portfolio, and getting an agent.
-
Confidence in focusing on one path and not getting distracted by others.

+2 @Jesse-Hintze and @Iain-Davidson, I work full time in construction, have wife and daughter; therefore building good habits is the only thing helping me move forward. This forum and SVS challenges are great too!

@Jesse-Hintze... My biggest problem is that I can't draw like Will Terry!! Ha!

Mine? Not being able to devote full quality time to my art career because of my completely unrelated day job; alas, bills need to be paid somehow. I think way too often about "running away and join the circus" but at my mid-40s, that's not an easy decision to make, even if I don't have children of my own and have pretty stable finances.
