      Hi, folks!

I’m planning on pitching a mazy book for around the 5+ age range. My plan is to present 3 or 4 finished pages. This is the first one I’ve done so far.

Any and all feedback is welcome! This is my first go at this so I’m expecting plenty of changes. Could you picture opening up a book in a store and seeing this? If not, why? Also, bare in mind that the print size of this would be about 18x11 so don’t forget to zoom in!

Looking forward to hearing all of your thoughts!

@griffin Is the mouse going to the soldier or to the next page? If he is going to the next page that should be more clearly defined somehow. A prize at the end or something? An arrow?

@lisa-clark hadn’t thought about the soldier being confused with the end, thanks! I gave the end of the maze a bit of a glow to indicate that’s where you’re supposed to go but go to know that might not be clear enough.

@griffin I had my three boys look at this (11, 9, and 6). The oldest two knew right away where you meant for the mouse to go but my six year old was making up a lot of different stories about where the mouse would want to go. His favorite was the tent or the knight helmet so he could hide from the soldier. They did have a lot of fun looking at it and making up stories!

@lisa-clark this makes me so happy to hear! I love that your youngest was making up different stories and using his imagination! Maybe he doesn’t know where the ending is but I think fun is much more important! Thank you so much for sharing!

We have a book called Pen Control and Tracing. All the pages are laminated and it comes with a dry/erase marker. Here are some images. The one page is a maze. I guess what I am saying is that if you make it reusable like this, it could be something to use over and over again. 66CEB745-2AF4-404F-8449-BA9AA7DE8C13.jpeg 0B1C4969-26CA-428A-B7F2-FC06DF01F8D0.jpeg
