      @Asyas_illos wild isn’t it? The upcoming forecasts call for more intense rainfalls, our drains can’t handle it. So I may have to invest in a canoe to get to work hahahahah.

          @Lisa-Clark

          Hammered is right! Today we’re getting updates like crazy of roadways and highways within the city that have collapsed, and closures galore. We’re very lucky to be on the highest point of the sewer system in our area, and we graded our yard during the first covid lockdown. We’re luckily ok. Everyone else is underwater. If there weren’t photos and videos, it would be hard to believe.

              There’s several more in different ends of the city, here’s another photo. Some of the photos are hard to tell what’s going on, if you don’t know what’s supposed to be there in it’s place. It just looks like you’re looking at lakefronts.

                  @AngelinaKizz That is nuts. Is it flat up there or hilly? I am glad that your friend's house is still dry. YIKES!

                    Holy Mackerel! And to think I was complaining because the temperature is going down to freezing here tomorrow. Stay safe and I hope things improve quickly.

                      @Lisa-Clark flat as flat can be. No hills at all in Manitoba. The only “hill” is if you built your yard up a bit.

                        @demotlj it’s pretty wild. It’s one of the worst storms I’ve seen hit us in a while. We do get doozies every now and then

                          WOW thank you for your post, hoping things improve there for you guys... Incredible you upgraded during Covid so your home is ok. That snow reminds me of a Cyclone Bomb we had here in Colorado a couple years ago. I needed a visual reminder to help me with the Storm challenge, it's racking my brain!

                            @ArtistErin we were locked down the better part of 18 months here. There wasn’t much else to do Haha, We graded the yard, re landscaped as we had a low spot and we build beautiful gardens that bring me so much joy Every summer. I’m very grateful we’re ok. I took a drive today for the first time, and it’s quite something. There was cars everywhere stalled out, or with popped tires (from roads collapsing… it was like playing frogger around ditched vehicles, pot holes, lakes…. Totally Something else.

                              That is crazy! Makes my state of Minnesota seem so mild and temperate in comparison. I keep seeing people talk about May’s storm prompt but haven’t been able to find more information — how does everyone know? I’m excited to get started!

                                @patricialamas on the main page at www.critiquearena.com, there’s usually a this month info along with the next two months of prompts. The June prompt says no prompt summer vacation.

                                  Dang, everyday's an adventure where you are. Here in San Jose, CA it's all sun and we get excited about a light mist! I'm just letting our front lawn die cuz I feel guilty using our precious water and it really is a losing battle anyway, that and you get fined for using too much. Stay safe!

                                    @AngelinaKizz my goodness, that’s crazy! The car under water reminds me of monsoon season in Vietnam. It floods like that every year in certain areas. My mom just had a tornado in Mississippi, and we recently had a HUGE surprise snow here in France. What’s happening?! Lots of good storm prompts. 🤣
