Hi Everyone!

My name is Matt Schwartz and it's really nice to join this community

I spent two years in fine arts before dropping out and changing careers years ago (full story/blog post on how and why I came back to art here).

Right now I'm finishing my DSW (Doctorate of Social Work) degree in Implementation Science (or ImpSci) which is to help translate research into practice, and I decided that I really want to do that visually. Social Workers working in the field don't generally have the time to read through academic journals (or the money to access them) so I want to make them accessible through illustration: think comic books that teach new skills to therapists or social workers so those social workers can then use those new skills with their clients, complicated concepts taken and translated into a cartoon or a more visual book, etc. I'm really excited to be here (I'm also learning at Sketchbook Skool if you're on that platform too).
