@AngelinaKizz That's so cool! I feel like miniatures are not a common thing these days. I'm so happy you are bringing them back! Whenever I finally pick a man out of my "line of suitors" lol, I'd love to commission you for one

@PenAndrew Oh my goodness, I sure didn't know that! How crazy is that?! It seems it was meant to be to have a badger in the story then. Wow!
My mom's favorite bird was humming birds, so I included them into parts of the story. Out of curiosity one day, I looked up the symbolism and meaning of humming birds. And what ya know, they represent healing too!
Now I'm really blown away. Maybe I should look up the meaning behind squirrels?
Interesting, here is what I found on the net for what squirrels often represent/symbolize:
Renewal
Adaptability
Change
Spirit
Playfulness
Resourcefulness
Connection with earth and sky energies
Gratitude

@Elizabeth-Rose Yes and Humming Bird in the medicine cards(Native American tradition) means Joy and the squirrel is about gathering ones resources, I can tell you a bit more another time if you want.
-
@crispalomino Thanks!
@AngelinaKizz Okay! Sounds like like a plan! Keep doing what ya doing!
@PenAndrew Oh so cool! That’s neat to learn those meanings through Native American culture! Yes, I would love to learn more sometime

Hellooooooo!
Here I'm Happy book update. . .The National Alliance for Children's Grief Conference was amazing!
Going to the NACG conference was quite a leap of faith. I stumbled onto this conference online a few months ago and felt it on my heart I was meant to go.
I made a comment on an earlier post in this thread about me planning to go to this conference, I didn't mention that I was a bit nervous about going. I didn’t know anyone at the conference and its a long drive from Kentucky to Florida.
I arrived safe and sound and from there everything went smoothly except perhaps for the fast beating of my heart a few times when figuring out the first day at the conference.
But it was such an incredible blessing. First night I had a line at my table of people wanting to talk with me and buy my book. Even had several requests to have their picture taken with me.On the second day, I had people walking by my table and stop and say something along the lines of “Oh! You are her, the girl with the book! My friend has been talking non-stop about your book. I want two copies please!”
Sold an average of 20 books a day! A total of about 75 books!
Many conference attendees have told me they plan to use my book with their grief sessions and classes.
Many are interested in buying wholesale to use to give to the grieving families they work with.I came back home to Kentucky with my heart over filled.
Stepping out of my comfort zone has been so worth it.A shout out to all my friends, family and you amazing people here on SVS Learn Forums! You all have propelled me
Now on to the next adventure with this book, and bye bye comfort zone. . .
