July Contest: Rabbit Road Race
-
My idea was pretty straight forward, different themed rabbits competing to see who’s the best one.
-
This was the first idea that popped into my head when I heard the prompt Rabbit Road Race. It definitely leans more in the direction of YA, so I hope it counts. But I guess what matters most is that I had a blast creating it! It's a mashup of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Redwall.

@kirsten-mcg I love it. Those dust clouds are to die for!
-
Everyone always comes up with great and clever concepts! I love seeing them.
I'm abroad right now so I'm racing to try to finish this but I don't have my scanner and Photoshop
It's supposed to be a sort of kid's soap box derby race
Here's hoping I make it past the finish line

Have finally submitted my pieces!

@JQ Wow! These are amazing!

@JQ I love the middle one! The rabbit is so expressive and adorable. I really feel for them. So many emotions in one image.

My first ever entry for Critique Arena! Whew.
I developed this one digitally for quite awhile (thanks for the feedback!), but after struggling with it for awhile, I started over in analog mediums (watercolor, gouache, colored pencil) and added finishing "polish" digitally. What a learning experience!
Analog + digital, which is the version I plan to submit:
