August Contest: Design A Superhero
-
@Johanna-Kim thank you Johanna! I appreciate the encouragement
-
@Asyas_illos good to know. Although I don’t even like my other one now. Haha.
-
Even though I can't really enter this....I couldn't pass up doing a super hero.
The rest of the images for the character.
His name is Bolt.
His body constantly absorbs energy from every surrounding sources (radiation, ambient energy, direct energy and the energy his body produces from eating) and stores it in his body. This has caused him to lose all of his hair and must wear a protective suit that keeps water from getting on his skin. When it does, his skins bubbles and burns from not being able to handle the contact. He has the ability to channel all of that built up energy into a massive electrical blast which at full power is insanely destructive. The effort leaves him exhausted and starving. -

(My wife is a therapist and inspired this.) -
Frog Man! Yup, super original name...lol.
Still debating on my librarian...Hope to post her soon.
-
Libby the Librarian!
Went back and forth on the mask, but with a bit of a colour adjustment it's grown on me; though she rocks her powers without it too
-
I think this is ready to go. Let me know if you have any last-minute suggestions for improvements. Thanks everyone, this was challenging but fun!
-
I think he’s finished. Thank you everyone who helped me figure Captain Toots out!
Good luck, everyone! Lot of great heroes in here already.
-
Here she goes! Good luck everyones!
-
@KevinTreaccar this turned out so good!
-
First time posting here, not sure if I’m doing this right. But anyway here’s my attempt at designing a super hero. Not my normal medium or topic of choice but a very good exercise to stretch my brain and skills.

@sarahanncools amen to supermoms!
-
Meet Ari. And her alter-ego, Sombra. Reluctant heros are my favorite.
-
@Laurasketches i really like her body type! Nice!
-
@Cayleen I want her powers!!!
-
@Laurasketches I am a fantasy nerd myself. I would have loved to know someone like Ari in middle school. I really like your illustrations the color palette reminds me of fall. Plus it is a great idea for a story
-
Submitted! It's so cool to see everyone's creativity with these superheroes. I usually avoid drawing people and characters so I'm glad to have the critique arena to push me to try new things and love the suggested videos for learning too.

Every hero needs a nemesis! I don’t have time to develop this character but here is a peek at Captain Lumen! She is the arch villain of Johnny Shadow. She may be a baddie but she looks good doing it.
