November Contest: This was the end of the road for Kamari...
-
Here's my submission. Do you think caterpillars know what comes next?
-
@LisaF Sorry to ask such a "stupid" question (I am not from the US is my only excuse)....but who or what is Kamari? When I google I get it is a beach in Greece or a female Hyena? Or could I just make up the character?
-
@LisaF I am probably (I know I am) asking a stupid question here…but who or what is Kamari? (I am not from the US) When I google I get a beach in Greece and a female hyena. Or should I invent a charachter?
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz Oh no! I made a few changes to make it less graphic. Probably still not to your liking but I believe it has greater appeal than the original. Thanks for the honest feedback!
-
@LottaBergman Kamari is just a random name, so you're free to make it whomever (or whatever) you want. Kamari is an arabic name that means moon.
-
@Mia-Clarke this is great! Love the age of the caterpillar ready to move on to the next phase following their instincts. And love that she's knitting her cocoon.
-
@LottaBergman had the same question as you. Also thought I was missing something.
-
@Mia-Clarke Thanks!!!!!!!
-
@Asyas_illos Yes! But the guys will only choose one to be in the All Stars competition
-
@LottaBergman and @Chantal-Goetheer: Yup, @Mia-Clarke is correct! Kamari is just a name chosen at random The character behind it is totally up to you!
-
Hi everyone, here’s my take on Kamari. Love seeing everyone’s take on the prompt.

Flu hitting the 4yo, 2yo and me (old dad) for the past week has knocked out time needed for a second spin, so here’s my entry for November.
Good luck, all! And cheers to unexpected new beginnings!

I'm really liking the variety of entries this month and I definitely found this prompt tricky. Illustrating two conflicting ideas at the same time was difficult. Also drawing a dozen orcs seemed like a good idea at the time, but I must admit the novelty had worn off by the end! That being said, I quite enjoyed adding text to one of my images.
-
@MarcRobinson - This is epic! Great concept and loving the "Lord of the Rings" style troll and orcs! Must have taken ages. Well done!
-
@Lorna-H Thank you! Yeah the whole thing took about 6 - 8 hours, with about 5 of those spent on painting orcs and bricks!
-
@MarcRobinson - Wow! You're still miles quicker at producing your art than me! That would've taken me way longer and the end result would have been much worse! Hats off to your skills
