Camera set up for artists
-
I’m shopping around for a camera set up that I can use to record and livestream myself drawing as well as interacting with viewers (if any) on Instagram and other platforms.
The camera would be high above me and aimed at my sketchbook/paper/desk. Ive tried makeshift set ups before such as placing my iPhone on a pile of books but it only put my phone in my way and made for really uncomfortable drawing positions.
I’m wondering if anyone can recommend what they use for a similar purpose? I’m also hoping for something where I can switch from the camera overhead to me when need be. If that is even possible with a laptop set up?

@danielerossi I use the UNIQU lighting kit. It's good to note that the little LED lights died like the second time I used it, so those are a bust. But the stand itself is great and I swear by it. The telescopic arm is very long so you can put it high above where it doesn't bother you. You can tilt it every way, the joint bends 90 degrees, it's very sturdy, and the smart design folds into a small box.

@NessIllustration Thanks, I’ll check it out!

@NessIllustration I am using a product thay is very similar from UNIQU but is marketed under a different brand "Hey Paparazzo" and I agree with most of your assessment.
The LED still works on mine but I keep forgetting to charge after using also they aren't as strong and even as ring lights but definitely better than nothing if you just want an easy all-in-one setup.

@NessIllustration I’ve been looking at those for a long time now. Nice to know it’s decent quality. I bought a bendy arm clamp from our dollar store until I could find something that would work well with my phone.
