      Hi everyone,
Hope you’re all well and I would love your opinions on character design on several portfolio pieces I’m doing for a story about a Little witch called Valentina who lives by the sea and is a little different to all the other witches . She is fascinated by the sea, and all the creatures that live there and her dream is to see a real life whale. Her witch class mates at witch school thinks she so strange……. Witches don’t belong on the sea !? They belong on a broom or dancing around bonfires .

Right now I just can’t even think of which witch to choose for Valentina

      Thanks so much guys!

@Isabel-Reyes-Feeney I think these are all solid designs but 4 is my favorite. That one looks more expressive and the the shapes and proportions are balanced out just a bit better I think.

@Isabel-Reyes-Feeney I'm with @Griffin-McPherson . I connect most with 4. Her expression and the shape of her face and proportions are really appealing. I also like 5 though. I think it's her hair that I like. For some reason it gives me beach bum witch vibes. Not sure if that's what you're going for though! 😅

I like number two's outfit (the overalls give a her a fisherman kinda look) but the face and hair of one because the messy hair and big eyes make her look more eccentric

I like 4 too, because of the big cheeks, small eyes, simple curvy hair, and simplicity of lines.

@Isabel-Reyes-Feeney I think they are all cute, but I felt like number 4 fit the criteria of being a little different since her hat is not the typical black color, her hair is short, and she looks more determined to make things go her way. I like that her neck is showing and how it is a thin area in the silhouette along with the bulk of the pants; she has a nice silhouette.

When I first looked at them small on the screen I went for number 2.

When I opened the original image and they were a larger size, my preference switched to number 4 as I thought she was more of an individual with a real personality. I like her little boots and top showing beneath the belt. Her hair is great too. So number 4 as long as the mouth doesn't fade into nothing when she's a smaller size. 🙂
