Olga Herreras Summerfolio prompts

Hey guys, I'm working on the first prompt for Olga's (illochat) summerfolio prompt list, and the first prompt is "it was then that the pirate realized they'd made a wrong turn". The guideline for this illustration is a double page spread, full color and environment design included.
My thought would be that they've gotten their ship hung up in a creek or about to go over a waterfall. Those two seem to illicit more of an uhoh feel. I also thought about a pirate showing up at a tea or princess party, but while that could be a funny illustration, it doesn't give me the uh oh wrong turn feel.
I've come up with a few thumbs and would love your thoughts on which direction to go.

I like the idea of a waterfall but assuming they are ocean pirates based on your ship wouldn't they run into a waterfall coming down on to them unless you're suggesting the earth is flat and they're going over the edge which is whole nother story in itself! I agree that I can't make heads or tails of the last two sketches.:0
