Payment Issues - Cricket Media
-
Cricket finally paid me (about a year and a half late)! I was owed $3850 for two different jobs and after emailing every Cricket media email I could find for several weeks they sent me two different payments. I'm not sure if my emails did anything or if their cash flow problem improved, but I thought I'd share a little bit of hope with others still in the situation.

@Jeremiahbrown Cricket still hasn’t paid me after close to 2 years. They can go to hell
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz maybe @Jeremiahbrown can give you his emaillist so you also can write them on every ******** mail they have so you get your money!
it would be so much easier to just be honest about their situation.

So I’ll be creating a video about Cricket Media. Anybody want to add something? Should I do it? Should I not? Any thoughts anyone?
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz I think someone should! I would have myself, but I don't have a direct experience with them. I say go for it
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz love watching your videos. I say go for it too
-
@ShannonB tell them they will be hearing from your lawyer, see if it scares them into paying you if you have a paper trail and a contract with them.
-
@Julia-Hegetusch thanks Julia! I think I will just do that. Lol
-
@NessIllustration Thanks Ness!
️ I gave them more than 2 years to fix their mistake. I think it’s high time I make some noise
-
guys, did anyone notice that SCBWI removed their warning article?
-
@NessIllustration Wow this is helpful to know. I just posted on another thread discussing this. I need to figure out how to create a "Future Bug the Client Email" setting in my email account. Any tips?
Fortunately not all clients are bad like this. I'm getting ready to sign another book contract, and my client is so happy to work together she is jumping hoops to pay. I am figuring out how much I prefer to work with others that value what I provide. This is the dream client I will go above and beyond for!

@ArtistErin Well even in Gmail you can schedule emails right? So write an invoice reminder, duplicate it like 20 times, and schedule 1 for every week. You can even CC everyone at the company you can find email addresses for, so you get more out of each email
Have fun!

@NessIllustration Thank you so much that is so helpful. I need all the help I can get right now! This was what I needed today.
