      Hi!
I'm almost done with this illustration, but I wonder if the figure isn't proportional with everything else. Either that or I've been looking at it for too long 🫡 any help would be appreciated, thanks!

@ChloeGreenbergArt Hi, your image looks great, very moody, love the electric feel of it. The girl does get a bit lost as she has a similar value as the background and is brown on brown. I would try lightening her up a bit and changing her colours. Hope that helps

@ChloeGreenbergArt The overall mood is working fine. The light protections from the building’s windows is an unrealized opportunity you can use to clarify where the left vanishing point is located. The front of the bus indicates this a one-point perspective because it is parallel to bottom edge of the picture plane. The entry way to the building declares it to be a two-point perspective. The scale of the figure is plausible in relation to the building. So, yes there are tweaks you can make that clarify the perspective context but the composition still tells the story. It is a very nice effort Chloe.

@Julia-Hegetusch silly me trying to comment as I chase my autistic son around the house. You would think he would be chilled out after running with me on the forest trail for 4.5 miles!🙂

@ChloeGreenbergArt You might want to introduce a street lamp that puts some light on the figure and casts a shadow.

@thomas-young thank you! I tried to draw everything in one point perspective, but the details on the door were tricky since that wall is at an angle. Would the lines suggesting two-point perspective on the door rather be parallel to the horizontal lines of the bus then?

The wall hidden by the tree is supposed to be horizontal lines parallel to the picture plane but I don't think it reads that well since the tree is covering up so much. But I like the framing the tree provides to make that plain wall more interesting. Ahh!!

@ChloeGreenbergArt I think its the windows, you seem to have some opening towards the outside but they dont come out of the window frame, and some towards the inside but we shouldn’t be able to see them in their totallity, some part of it should be hidden because they are blocked by the frame.
Maybe you could try to have them all closed and just direct our eyes to the light hitting the person
