Would anyone like to give me some feedback on the composition and perspective?

The second images is a flashback but it takes place in 2 different cottages, both with a fireplace.
I like the rounded layout as mirror reflections of each other.

I like the big books in the foreground but it makes the wonky perspective even worse.
Thinking to have the books on a table but on the left hands side, the table is covered in witchy items like potions and candelabra.
In the second room, there are child's toys on floor: doll and small rocking horse.
Room one has an ivy border. Room two has a flower border.

Text box shows placement of text but will be invisible in final layout.

Just ignore the characters for now; I'm still figuring out the poses.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Here's an image showing your perspective lines. The perspective of the fireplace indicates the horizon is above the characters' heads, while the perspective of the floor indicates that it's much lower. The whole composition needs to have the same horizon line or you'll keep having issues with it looking off - it is! You have a similar horizon line issue with the other page as well.

Because of that, your books also look off, as you mentioned. I like the stack of books in the composition, you just need to establish a single horizon line and have everything follow it in one-point perspective for this particular image. The books actually DO fall on the same perspective line as the floor boards, meaning that if you fix the perspective of the fireplace to match, it should fix the wonkiness.
