      I've finally finished the Light and Shadow lesson by @Lee-White .
      Thank you so much for the easy to catch on lessons, but they are really indept.
      I worked along and finished all the images. First local tones, then shadows, then the light.
      Its amazing to see how they come alive after all the steps. They turned out a bit darker, I got a bit wild into the shadows I think. The full tones one is about the same tone as the examples ones.

      I'm really proud of myself as I've not been able to draw from at least half a year because of severe burnout. But after working on myself I got back to drawing again and picked up these lessons.

      Anyway, enjoy! Critiques are welcome if you see some.

        @Avondrood-art Nicely done! I'm also recovering from burnout and reconnecting with my love of drawing, so you're not alone in here!

        You did a good job with these homework assignments, even if they are a tad darker than what Lee did in the examples. That could be down to style, maybe you're just more contrasty than he is 😉

        What classes are you taking next? Which ones are you most excited about?

          @StudioHannah
          Nice to meet you here!
          Burnout is terrible, I'm so glad I'm recovering. How are you doing then?

          I'm following the whole course curriculum. So I did lesson 1-4, now im working in lesson 5. Magic of color.
          I've always wanted to do those texture balls, so im rather excited about that. but thats waaaay down the line.

          Also the rocks and plants one really looks nice.

          I've already done a lot of model drawing IRL classes. So, im not totally new in that.
          and the storytelling overall. I'm often fixed in redrawing an excisting thing. I want to loosen up and to be more creative in making some scenes and such.

          What are you looking forward too? Are you also following the whole curriculum ?

            @Avondrood-art I'm following the course curriculum as well, and I'm about to enter Lv3 classes. They've been fun! I was "classically trained" so I can draw like a reclining nude figure in charcoal like nobody's business, but my cartoon/illustration work has always felt kinda stiff because of that. I worked as a graphic designer for the last decade and my drawing skills were utilized, but not a whole lot (usually really corporate-looking vector illustrations/icons), and I've gotten suuuper rusty. These classes are helping a ton. I feel invigorated!

            I'm looking forward to seeing what my portfolio of homework looks like when I'm done. Some of it will go into my actual portfolio for querying agents, and then I can assess to see what other pieces I can do to fill it out. I'm excited to see it all come together, I guess you could say 🙂 But I'm also weirdly excited for the rocks and trees class, I don't know why that seems so appealing haha
