Tracking progress

I've spent years doing 3d modelling/animation and sculpting, but I really want to move into illustration and picture books/comics so I've signed up for SVS and am trying to retrain myself to work in 2d. I want to post my progress to have an extra layer of motivation. So, the first class I am going through is the procreate painting one and here is my first attempt.
I'm not happy with the moon in the foreground and I feel like it needs more motion/life. But I think its a good first step and I'm moving on to the next one with a lot of enthusiasm. -

been bouncing between a bunch of the drawing/painting/inking classes and playing with watercolors. A lot of filled pages in the sketchbook but these are the only ones I have scanned.
Really liking these mediums. I was convinced I would work only digitally, but I'm struggling to get away from the sketchbook to do digital work now
