Live Portfolio Class
-
I'm so excited for the portfolio class, but will there be an option to make payments (maybe over the next few months, before the class starts)?
-
@bluesky71 I think this would be a good intermediate to advanced class. Ideally, you should have a pretty solid amount of work under your belt. Then we begin the process of really focusing on what you are showing and who you are showing it to. You shouldn't be struggling too much with technique to get the most out of this class.
@amberwingart We don't offer a payment plan BUT your bank does! Just put aside the desired amount into a savings account. Easy Breezy!
BTW: I am looking to offer this critique based format more than once. So don't fret too much if you don't get in the first time. : )

I'm so glad to hear you'll be offering it more than once! Unfortunately, since registration is opening soon, I haven't put aside any savings for it, so I won't be able to do it. But I'll start saving now for the next class.

I just got done watching the class on creating luminous lighting, and it blew my freaking mind! I wish I was prepared to start talking about my portfolio, but my art needs to get better before I can even think about how to orginize it. Can't wait for the watercolor class though.

Thanks Lee

I wish I was ready for this but after a rethink er... knowhere near... I do get carried away sometimes after doing a picture thinking I'm awesome, and then someone else sees it and doesn't have the same reaction haha.

@Lee-White let us know when the kickstarter goes live!
-
Looks like it's going to be Oct. 20. I'll keep you up to date.
I am learning a TON about doing a kickstarter. Most of it will be available as a video. I'm also making some cool spreadsheets to help figure out all the costs involved. I've come up with some interesting ideas about how to make it easier for everyone. Hope it all works out!

Thanks Lee for sorting this out, sure it will be a great benefit.....

@Lee-White sounds good. Have you checked out: http://stonemaiergames.com/kickstarter/
[EDIT: you said "spreadsheet" and that's what made me think of it. He's got lots of spreadsheets and google docs if you are into that kinda thing.]
There are (hundreds?) of blog posts from this game publisher on various aspects of kickstarter (bringing your crowd, setting up your page/your video, kickstarter rewards, shipping & fullfillment, and on and on).
It's been an amazing resource for me--although, I'm fervently hoping to NOT have to do kickstarter for the board game I've developed as I'd much rather get a publisher to do all the heavy lifting.
But kickstarter is my plan B.
Definitely am looking forward to your project and your insights!

@mattramsey I did see that one. Good info for sure!
