@mattramsey Wonderful! Such great work! And great rendering technique - definitely I am going to study this one. I love artists who can render and still keep the line. I have tried this technique only once or twice - should invest more into it.

Don Seegmiller http://seegmillerart.blogspot.com/ he's amazing at rendering but I'm really drawn to his black and white drawings...I love his hatching.

Thanks for starting this thread! Did not know of Sergio Pablos and Somnath Pal before but I will definitely be checking out their work.
I have pretty much only discovered concept artists by name in the last year and so far my most followed ones include Armand Serrano, Paul Felix, Marcelo Vignali, Jake Parker and Aaron Blaise.

@bluesky71 Absolutely. As well as Arthur Rackam and, my personal favourite from that epoch, Franklin Booth.

The story goes that Franklin's only contact with the outside world in his remote outback was magazines. As he had never heard about engraving, he thought the pictures in the magazine were drawn with pen and ink, and so he developed a pen-and-ink technique that mimics engraving...

II have just discovered a new amazing illustrator I did not know before - somebody posted a picture on FB and I had to rever image search it to land on this treasure.
