absolutely looks a lot better, I can see now you have the highlight on the apple and more lighter tone. All ya need to do is to find some watercolor splatters and slap them on the apple then use smudge tool to smudge out any awkward/weird line. Try to outline the apple with darker red or brown then smudge the outline a bit, just a bit to make it look as watercolor bleeding edge. Make sure the splatters are always on another layer, make it on top of the apple, hold Alt between splatter layer and apple layer then Right click; this will make the splatter layer only be colored within the apple layer area only, it won't stray the paint.

@Naroth-Cow how do you maintain texture on #8 while using the smudge tool? Doesnt the smudge tool usually destroy texture?

For number 8 when i adjust something I always create another layer with Multiply to darken and Overlay to lighten it up. so u won't smudge the texture. Texture should always be on top of anything.

@Naroth-Cow hitting reply usually works, otherwise you need to add a dash if there is more than one name 🙂

@Naroth-Cow I love your artwork. I feel like I'm being invited into your daydreams.

The cropped image really draws my eye to the origami bird and then to its relationship with the girl So sweet. And I love her hair, the way it fills up the whole corner of the image. I can't wait to see your books in print.

PS Thank you for the tutorial.
