Started working on Space Explorer #12. Going to be a general holiday themed. Kinda poetic with 12 (like the 12 Days of Xmas).

Ok! Time for some more WIP updates on Space Explorer #12. Had to take a break due to holiday madness but am happy to get back to work!

This is coming along so nicely. I am loving it. I dont think the general public realise just how much work goes into an image like this. Great job, keep it up.

@girlgregg the figure on the space girl is really good. I don't think the red is working well over all. Maybe its just me but it seems to harsh. If they are in a different world would the flying "i forget the name of these little guys" be more alien like?

@Chip-Valecek I totally agree. The colors have been bothering me too. I definitely need to rework them. Both the red and green are totally off. As for the space squirrels I think they need more work than i've spent on them... sometimes this happens to me in the "ugly phase" this is just a bit worse than usual. Thank you for the feedback! Glad to know someone else sees these problems too.

How neat! These are really cool. But i notice that you have been keeping it safe by using the same style space suit. Maybe check out some vintage illustrations of space girls or look at some cosplays of futuristic characters, try to spice things up. Put some of them in short sleeves, have rings going around their waists, give them giant boots/whatever. Be adventurous, there's a hundred of them so you've got plenty of time to make some weird designs and learn something from it

@Perrij Yeah, I'm looking forward to exploring more space suit designs as I go. I've been looking at a lot of space art from the 1960s for reference.This was actually an unplanned space explorer. I already have #13 and #14 ready to go and they are more interesting. I was doing this for the holiday, but I'm learning my lesson that I need to plan these out better. Hopefully the next one will be more inspired

Another update... better. Slowly getting there, but still a long way to go

OK. I'm calling it. Finished but NOT Perfect! I need to give myself a break and move on! This piece is far too busy, but I will return to it with fresher eyes when I am further along with the project.
