Finished watching the crown. It was super interesting. Been wanting to paint this all week and finally got a few minutes to myself. ️

This was so hard! A friend asked me to try a watercolor portrait of her kids. I agreed of course, because I'm crazy and it's just that far outside of my comfort zone and I want to learn. Anyway, many hours / days later and a few tears and fits of frustration... my husband told me I needed to be done because I was getting nit picky and he thought it looked good. Here it is.
Thankfully my friend loves it and is coming to collect it from my house today so I can stop driving myself crazy looking at it.

Luna Lovegood ~ This one popped into my head the other day. Just imagining her walking into the great hall with her lion hat. I sketched it out and then did an experiment - painted with watercolor and gouache on yupo paper. Very weird but fun. The paper is actually waterproof so instead of absorbing the paint, the water evaporates and leaves the paint on the surface. Anyone ever tried this before?

Here's a little illustration that popped into my head today. Obviously, it isn't perfect, but I'm happy with the general composition. Still trying to find a way to work on lighting.
