I'm thinking of doing some kind of Junkyard Treehouse for the June competition. Have the treehouse be a combination of wood, scrap metal, a broken down truck and random junk overlooking a ramshackle building, fence and street light and junk in the distance. Trying to practice more elaborate environments on this one.

Here is a rough thumbnail, any thoughts on the concept and composition? PS my thumbnails are horrendous 😃

@Charlie-Eve-Ryan I think it's a great concept! Love the truck in the tree!

Looks great so far! I can't wait to see more of the process. It would be a great opportunity to utilize the techniques in Will Terry's "50 things" video!

Thanks, everyone I look forward to finishing it. I may give the treehouse a little more breathing room in the composition plus make it overall taller.

@SmallsOrd That's a fantastic idea for @Will-Terry's 50 things challenge. I'm going to give it a go, this is a great project for that one!

I like it and iam glad you are back on track:) is your recovery going well? If i may suggest smth, i am not sure of composition. It seems empty In the middle. Maybe its just ur horrendous thumbnail tho;) Perhaps you could try a vertical composition just to see, if its better. I think it could bring more focus to the most interesting part, which is cool truck home:)

@aska Thanks, that may work especially since I want the tree to be taller. I'll try it out!

Here is a portrait style instead of landscape with a taller tree. I'm liking this one better so far. Thanks for the suggestion @aska.

I'm liking this vertical version better! It feels more immersive to the viewer and puts the treehouse more in center stage.

@TessW Thanks, I was wanting to make the tree taller with a bit more breathing room, so the vertical ended up being a much more natural fit vs squeezing it into the landscape version. Overall, more dynamic too. Should be really fun to play with today.

I have my music on! Let's see where it goes!
