JUNE ILLUSTRATION CONTEST: TREEHOUSE
-
"Incredible Journey."
I am still working on this, but as practice.
I tried to paint on a smaller canvas but I still ended up getting caught up in details too early on. ^^; heh. -
@washu I love your tree-man. Man-tree? It's fabulous and the lighting is beautiful- very warm, inviting, magical.
-
@withlinesofink Thank you. It's called a treant, or just ent.
-
@washu I knwo Ents from the LOTR/Hobbit lore. I always fantasized about running away and living with the Ents. I really enjoy how you captured his Majesty but also a sense of gentleness.
-
Ok, Here goes. This is my first time post, first time sharing and the first time in a contest. I look forward to all of the feedback (good and Bad). I am glad to be apart of a great community of very talented people. So many great posts. This was a great challenge. Thanks guys for the lessons, and challenge.

My illustration from the current book project.
My apologies for the watermark and the bits of text.
The treehouse happens to be the final destination in the story,
and as I believe in signs and serendipity- I thought I better share with you!
-
Its really cool how many different ways everyone has drawn tree houses. I can't decide on a favorite I think they are all great.
