My 100 Somethings

I began these little doodle sketches to loosen up my drawing skills and be more free. I have a very shaky hand and kept getting a cramp in my fingers trying to stop the shaking. Now I've decided to just embrace it. I'll be focusing on ink sketches with some watercolor work with a few.

So here is 1-16

@katrina-fowler awesome job! Glad to see someone else jumping on this challenge I'm on number 17. I also have a really hard time with my hands shaking and hoping by the time I get to 100 it might go away or at least won't show too much.. Can't wait to see them finished up they look great so far!

@christine-garner OMG! That was the best TED talk ever! This is so true. Now my shake isn't as bad as his but I'll never make awesome comic outlines like Jake Parker. So instead of forcing straight smooth lines in my digital vector software I'm going to try and let loose with my pen and see what happens.

Doodles 32-41. For #39 the guy is playing a guitar and the didgeridoo at the same time. And yes I did actually see some one do that! LOL

Well, if your shaky line is accidental it doesn't show. Your loose, fun lines are something I aspire to. I have a tendency to "over-perfect" things (if that's even a word), and am constantly trying to loosen up.

Like others have said, your lines have so much character. And had you not mentioned the shake, no would have been the wiser to it. There is so much energy in your lines, something many an artist would envy. Your #45 sketch is one of my favorites so far. Keep at it!

@rhirsch Shaky can be cool - is my new motto.
@tombarrettillo Yeas #45 just came out of no where. So fun to just let the images come out rather than force a narrative.
@Kat Yep. Once I get some colored I'll share. I did paint one piece. Look for it in the general discussion section called 'Color study {FINISHED}
