So I'm noticing many contests are asking for sequential illustrations:

      So, I started brainstorming.

What other three-part stories could you tell with just illustrations?
Any other contests looking for sequential art? (I'm all for killing multiple birds with one stone 😉

This are all great ideas! I guess one of the contests you are referring to is the SCBWI narrative art challenge. I have been thinking about that too and it is a tricky one....The three illustrations should represent "dilemma, conflict, resolution". I particularly struggle with the "conflict" part, as it should relate to the dilemma and resolution clearly. And also, the implied suggestion that it should be a mystery story makes things even more difficult. Anyhow, here some more ideas:

        • lack-of-skills/learning/knowledge
        • dirty/cleaning/beautiful
        • bored/idea/fun

Horsing around - accident - lesson learned
Litter - clean up - reward
          Bullying - stands up for (self/others) - new friend/karma

These were just off the top of my head. Thanks for the contest heads up - looks like fun!

I am also racking my brain for the Narrative Art Award... I love that it is meant to be sequential but the 3 characters and 3 acts in 3 panels is certainly going to be a challenge.

                Love your springboards!
