It's been a long time and wanted to get back into drawing. I researched a lot of sites and SVS looked like the perfect fit. I'm mostly comic style and I'm in desperate need of foundation instruction. Tonight I decided to draw from one of my daughters graphic novels, "I Hate Fairyland" by Skottie Young. His art is what sparked my interest to draw again and hopefully draw my on comic/graphic novel. Here is what I have drawn tonight to see where I stand...not very good and all input would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome, Mark! I also decided to get back into drawing a year ago and SVS has really helped level up my skills. As an comic-style artist myself, I found these classes to be really useful:

                  • Rabbit Cycle Demo
                  • How to Ink
                  • How to Draw Everything
                  • Creative Environment Design
                  • Drawing Comics

Seriously, the Rabbit Cycle Demo packs in so much technique, workflow, and life advice that it's a must-see.

Looking forward to seeing you grow!

Thank you for the class suggestions, I was trying to figure out a plan of action on courses to take. Very helpful, thank you.

I think its terrific!! I think its hard to shut off that voice everyday that says the work is no good or that no one is going to like it. Just look at some of the dismal corporate art being generated and you'll feel great about whatever you do! 🙂

@MarkAlan74 What are you using for colors in that? Looks like markers? I'm looking to add some coloring medium to my practice, and I really like the way that pops well. Those copic markers? Looks nice.
