@chrisaakins I couldn't get the graphite to photo well but oh well! This is a first time to enter a contest on SVS and I am a newbie at illustration. I look forward to it! Thanks for any input you may provide.

So here’s my mushroom village prompt. Would have like to gone digital however I suffer from chronic headaches so I did try out my new water brushes with watercolour. I wanted to depict so many types of mushrooms. The Story is about the suffering of a mushroom. He is never really alone, his mushroom family is all around.

Well, I'm no closer to honing in on a signature style but I quite liked the way this turned out. If I had more time, I'd paint out the line work, or at least reduce it. Anyway, I'm just happy to have something to submit.

I'm calling it done, I could keep working on this, but I think I hear somebody calling. I would just like to say, Ovals are a bitch! I don't care who you are, I was determined to have a breakthrough with using ovals in perspective, oh and then I got the idea of putting the village in water with little boat taxi's running around. It ended up looking like a mushroom water amusement park. So heres my submission. Chris
