Where Are You From?

@joslyn-schmitt
Hey! Did you go to MCAD? I graduated 2010 furniture -
@adc Hey there! I'm from roundabout North Austin, too. I'm just getting started with SVS. Nice to see a local.
-
@heathermadethat Awesome. Same here regarding starting out with svs. Been brushing up on fundamentals and such, since I took about a decade off from drawing while I have been doing UI design.
-
@adc Oh wow, I just finished ACC's UX design program and I'm also brushing up on old art skills while UI/UX job hunting. Are you working as a UI designer now?
-
I'm in Menlo Park, CA!

@kaitlinmakes Hi there!!! Small world~!? I did go to MCAD! I graduated 2013 in Animation. I actually came in fall of 2010. I think I might have just missed you. I saw your animal illustrations on your instagram. Awesome work.

Wisconsin, USA (up der north, you betcha)
-
@kathrynadebayo I have family all over that area. My parents met at Centralia High -- are you anywhere near there?
-
@pinky Nice! No, not that I'm aware of, anyway.
-
I'm from Medellin, Colombia. Any other local here...?
-
@swordofodin Cool. Lol. We need to meet up sometime
-
@swordofodin I'll make a thread for mail art exchange! in a few weeks after my convention adventure is over.
-
I'm from Arlington, Texas but I live in Dresden, Germany. I feel so alone here
-
@nasvikdraws sounds good to me
-
@pilonya Hi neighbor! I live in Basel, Switzerland. And I used to be a medicinal chemist...should sound familiar looking at your bio!
It would be great to connect - are you a member of SCBWI? Did we perchance meet already in Zuerich a couple of weeks ago, during the sketchcrawl? (I have an awful memory for names....) -
I’m in the UK (London) and thought I was alone in the SVS world. UK people feel free to message me here or Instagram.
-
@smceccarelli Hi neighbour indeed! No, I'm not a SCBWI member, also I wasn't in Zürich for the sketchcrawl... (it does look fun and interesting though!). Yes, it would be really great to connect and stay in touch, specially given your background in science. I think I might have lots of questions to ask you about how you made the transition from science to illustration. So far illustrating is still just a dear hobby next to may day job, but I'd love to illustrate a book one day. Btw, you have a really great portfolio!
