Totally feel ya man! When I'm at my day job, I dream about illustrating all day long, then when I get home, i'm not in the mood anymore or I have chores to get done. Its a repeating struggle.

@squirrelsize thats the worst right? I hate dreaming all day about something and as soon as I get a minute at night to do anything I am wiped out and just want to crash. Some nights (most) I will push on through just to get some art time in.

Glad I'm not alone @micabusby. Welcome.
As an aside, I don't "hate" my day job - but I have this rule: If I don't love what I am doing 51% of the time, then it's time for a change. Career job is starting to dip below 51% far too often, but it's great for ramping up on illustration.
What is your process on getting where you are going?

My problem is the same. When I have the ideas and energy I don't have the time. When I have the time, I'm brain dead. When the stars align and I have both I am a man possessed until I finish. Haha.
