@nyrrylcadiz Exactly! I wasn't going to refuse this book no matter the pay hihi... I love the project and it's going to be amazing experience and give me new portfolio piece
If anyone is curious, I'm getting $1000 advance and 5% royalty. But the French Canadian market is small enough that I'm not sure if I can expect much in royalties!

@hannahmccaffery Funnily enough, this book isn't a job for the agency! At the same time I applied to agents, I also sent my portfolio around to editors by myself and that one contacted me back a few days after I got signed at Beehive haha... It's very good to keep in mind though, that first jobs with agents can be low!

@sarah-luann I took care of it myself... It's a French Canadian company and they prefer to speak in French with me, so I thought bringing in my UK agent would just complicate matters haha
