Don't worry about your experience in terms of critique. Sometimes just agut feeling is all that is needed. Sometimes I show a drawing to my 5 year old kid and he will say something like "that doesn't look like a dog" and then I'll look at it and realize he's right! So if he can do it, anyone can!

Norman Rockwell often said that when his wife says she likes the painting, he knows he is done. On paintings where he continued painting after her advice, he said he probably should have stopped earlier.

So, we all come to the table with valid thoughts and reactions, even if we can't draw or paint as well as some can.

And my experience is that its totally safe.We all know how much effort there is in every piece of art, and thats why people have respect for each other, and represent that in their critics. And its lovely to meet people from so many different places and backgrounds.
