@Heather-Boyd Heather, I thank you. I have one favourite paper texture and I can't resist to use it...
-
@jennymwine That is just amazing.... Great mood!
-
@Dima-Eichhorn Thank you so much! I really like your piece, too! It has so much whimsy and energy to it!
-
@jennymwine Ooh wow I love this, the textures and limited palette work so well, great job
-
@Dima-Eichhorn So so sweet! The textures in particular are so perfect
-
This is my first time participating and decided Coraline by Neil Gaiman would be so much fun to illustrate a cover for! I had planned on adding colour digitally but after a few tests decided I kinda liked the greyscale. I'm not sure if I've seen too many greyscale covers though so maybe that wouldn't be appropriate!
-
@ShannonB Thanks! I was just about to return the compliment to your Coraline cover! Love the paper texture reading through! And I like the greyscale choice on your piece, too!
-
These are looking GREAT everyone! Keep it up! : )
-
@Dima-Eichhorn Wow! I absolutely love this one! Sooo origional!
-
@jennymwine Thank you so much! I'm a bit of a sucker for paper textures to be honest!
-
@Annemieke Thank you a lot... really, thank you.
-
Hello
aiaiai here is another 'Lord of the Flies' cover ... this book made such an impression on me I really wanted to make something for it. I was doubting to enter because maybe my version seems too 'innocent' but that may also be a good thing. Good luck everyone and thanks for this great challenge!!

@ShannonB That is just amazing, what technique did you use?
-
@ShannonB Thank you, I am happy you like it... I like so much your cover, wish I had made it. (I already asked you, but is it made with an ink!!!?)
-
Hey Art Smiths!
This was super fun! I've really enjoyed the challenge on this prompted. We need to do some more challenging stuff! Maybe do a book spread sometime? The Wind in the Willows has always been a story close to my heart. When I was a kid, we had a VHS tape of it, I always wanted to watch it.
I love seeing what everyone has done! You all are great! Good Luck

@Squirrelsize This looks brilliant and I love how you've showed the back too, did you use a template to show how it looks on an actual book?
