      Not turning it in. I just wanted to share. I had some tiem last night and decided to paint a book cover. I did have a plan. Couldn't find my ink so I used graphite pencil. I was hoping it looks a bit free and old school wiht the colors, etc. Anyway, just for fun....Also, sorry the photo isn't better. Took it in bad light with my cell phone.

          Very nice cover that I think captures both her character and the feel of the stories very well. I've actually wanted to try mixing graphite and colors more in my drawings, but haven't quite dared to take that step yet. But it looks great here!

          This actually made me google book covers for Pippi. I realized that as a Swede, I've almost only seen the illustrations by Ilon Wikland when it comes to just about any book by Astrid Lindgren. Pippi included. So it's nice to see some different interpretations!
