I am gearing up to publish Uncle Carl Has a Chicken on His Head in some manner. I have full proofs but needed something for the back cover. How does this sound? I will add a picture of myself too. Thanks!!! I appreciate your input!

Marsha Ottum Owen lives with her husband, R.K., in a fifth wheel. As fulltime RVers, they enjoy traveling and pursuing their passions while trying to follow the sun (though it doesn’t always cooperate). Marsha’s goal is to illustrate, and sometimes write, 10 picture books before she leaves this earth. Uncle Carl Has a Chicken on His Head, is number three. Two more are in the works. She, along with her art, is ever a work in progress! You can follow her progress on her facebook page: Marsha Ottum Owen Books. She hopes you will enjoy this book!

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen Hi, Marsha! This sounds great! However, I would discourge putting your pic and bio at the back cover. I heard this a while back, perhaps in a podcast, that buyers don’t want to see some random person on the cover(front or back). You could put the story’s synopsis at the back. As for your bio, you can put it on your last interior page. I hope this helps.

@Nyrryl-Cadiz Yeah, I just need something for the back cover. I don't know if it will fit on the other pages....I'll have to see. Any good ideas on what should b eon the back or should it just be blank? I guess that's okay. I do have a little logo I might b eable to stick in the middle but it isn't really official. I'll think some more. Thanks!

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen you can add the book synopsis (short summary of the story) at the back. Also, if your bio does not fit any page, perhaps consider trimming it down. That’s what publishers normally do.

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen also pair the synopsis with some doodles perhaps

@Nyrryl-Cadiz okay. Great idea. I think I can have a little chicken with the summary.

Uncle Carl has, somehow, attracted all the chickens on his farm. They are all having a great time roosting on Uncle Carl until......

A fun and action-packed counting book with a surprise ending!

                How does that sound?

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen although it's not necessarily action packed. But fun alone doesn't cut it. I was thinking of using hilarious but, I don't know that it's all that hilarious either....hmmm....I'll think on it some.more.

you could play off of the chicken theme:

"A fun and poultry-packed counting book with a surprise ending!"
