@chrisaakins omg i met someone once that enjoyed stippling I was like. What? Why? But it did look cool... yeah I hope you dont feel bad about not quitting your day job. I’m not either and am going to try to gradually transition into a job that is closer to publishing or art or printing.

I did this one in Paper while watching TV. (It was a mystery and though I got a lot of inking practice, I missed why the killer did it!) I like doing the dip pen better but boy is digital faster

@Aleksey I know, right? You should try teaching stipling to 36 high schoolers all pounding ink pens to death. It's painful on so many levels. But it does look cool.

@BichonBistro I used the fountain pen in the Paper app. I usually use Procreate for digital work but for sketches I sometimes use Paper to keep things simple.

@xin-li Paper is a fun app for that kind of thing. No ability to do layers but its tools feel pretty real.

@chrisaakins i do not envy you, may i suggest either muji pens, or those gel ink pens or ball point pens to cut costs and also not be sad about kids ruining art supplies

@chrisaakins I’ve found the size of the canvas, pixel ratio makes a lot of difference. I’m using. 5k by 7k canvass at 132 dpi. How about you?

Everybody doing the ink exercises. Love to see that! It is challanging and fun. Maybe I will share mine later.If You wanna get more in depth into inking I definitely recommend Rendering in pen and ink by Arthur Guptill. Excellent book.
